Dear Youth Assembly Participants,

Welcome to the 2023 BERMUN Youth Assembly! In the YA, we focus on representing the participants themselves rather than member states. This year, we will be focusing on action plans for Mastering Digitalization and how social media can be used as a tool for educated and engaged civil society. You will be working with students from all around the world to gain advanced insight into how technology both helps and hinders growth. With the help of other participants, you will form an individual action plan to implement in your school and/or community.

During BERMUN, I have the privilege of Co-Directing for the first time and I am very excited to see all the great work we will accomplish. I believe this topic is very important because of the increasing use of technology in our everyday lives. It can be of great assistance to improving work, but it can also prevent us from thinking individually. While it is my first time in this position, this will be my third BERMUN conference.

I am a 17 year old American senior at the John F. Kennedy School in Berlin, which I have attended for 4 years. I am originally from New York state so the Berlin public transit system and bike paths have been a significant change for me.

Outside of being a part of BERMUN, I enjoy acting, singing, playing D&D, and reading. I am also working hard to get a medical degree so I can become a nurse. I look forward to meeting you all in November!
