Dear Delegates of the Jr. MUN,
I feel honored to welcome you to this year's BERMUN conference. I am sure the conference will be full of enlightening speeches, interesting debates and, of course, a lot of fun.
This year's conference theme is one of the most important ones. War was a problem throughout the entire course of human history and still threatens the lives of millions of people. Our first topic will focus on one of the most horrifying parts of it: child soldiers. Our task will be to rehabilitate the victims of this cruel crime, trying to give them back a childhood that has been stolen from them. Our second topic will be gang violence. People worldwide, especially youths, are joining violent gangs because they are living in poverty. The Jr. MUN will have the task to reduce gang violence by, for example, improving living conditions for these people and preventing gangs from having access to weapons.
To introduce myself, this will be my third conference as a chair. I am 16 years old and in the 10th grade at the Primo-Levi-Gymnasium. In my free time, I like to boulder and play baseball.
I look forward to meeting you at the conference!
