Dear Delegates,
I am so excited to work with all of you in the Environment Committee in November! One of the topics we will be discussing in the Environment Committee is reducing industrial pollution through circular economies. Circular economies are built on sustainability, which aim to reuse materials and products. This system can help reduce the harms that resource extraction has on our earth, in part by mitigating pollution. I hope that together we can work to think of ideas of how to address the topics of the Environment Committee, but also the broader theme of the BERMUN conference. We frequently see the impacts that the lack of sustainability and industrial pollution have on both ourselves and the world around us, so I look forward to working with you all to address topics that have such a prevalent impact on our lives.
I am a 16 year-old sophomore from Taipei American School, and I have participated in MUN since middle school. I find MUN to be an amazing opportunity to connect with others, and to become a better and more educated global citizen. This is my second time participating in BERMUN, but my first experience as both a BERMUN student officer and at an in-person BERMUN conference. Outside of MUN, I enjoy playing softball, reading, and watching movies.
I am honored to be participating in BERMUN in November, and am looking forward to meeting you all in the fall!
Sincerely,
Molly Budde
Co-Chair of the Environment Committee
