Dear BERMUN Participants,

Welcome to the 2024 Sustainable Development Committee! I am thrilled to be a co-chair of this committee. I have chaired and participated as a delegate in conferences around Italy, but this is my first time attending BERMUN and I’m very excited! Through my involvement in Model United Nations, I've gained insights into global events and political issues. Moreover, I think MUN is a great opportunity to enhance teamwork skills and sharpen problem-solving abilities.

For all the delegates in this committee, I encourage all of you to involve yourself in the discussions and debates we will have as it's an opportunity to discover the political challenges that shape our world and must be solved. Furthermore, I hope that this conference provides you with the chance to meet new individuals and develop friendships that will accompany you into the future.

My personal goal for this conference is to create a safe and welcoming environment for all the delegates attending. No matter your history in MUN, I want to ensure that everyone feels comfortable participating in the debates. In case you're feeling a bit hesitant (totally normal!), feel free to reach out to me and the other chairs if you have any questions.

I’m 17 years old and an 11th grader at the American School of Milan, Italy. Aside from Model United Nations, I enjoy competitively playing various sports like golf, basketball, and skiing, while also exploring my passion for the culinary arts.

I’m eager to meet all of you and to work with my chairs; I’m sure we will have a lovely committee!
