Dear YA Participants,

Welcome to the 2025 Youth Assembly (YA)! As you most likely know, we as the Youth Assembly are a bit different from the rest of BERMUN, as we represent ourselves, instead of member states, and change the world through actions and initiatives. This year, you as Youth Assembly participants will focus on developing individual action plans to make integration into society easier for migrants.

We chose this year's topic—“Fostering integration of migrants: Initiating local projects as a tool to prevent social division”— because at the moment our world is filled with wars, climate change and other crises forcing people to flee. The initiatives should focus on bringing people together and diversifying society, this could be through cultural exchange or activities like sports. We believe that through these local initiatives we are able to fight social division, make civil integration easier for migrants and create a better world for everyone.

This November will be my first chairing experience and I am looking forward to this experience a lot. I participated in the Youth Assembly last year as a delegate, so this will be my second time being part of BERMUN.

I am a 16 year old German-American junior at the John F. Kennedy School in Berlin. I was born in Berlin and have lived here most my life but have also lived in the United States for a year.

Besides MUN I enjoy playing lacrosse, violin and doing other fun activities with friends outside. I look forward to meeting you all in November!
