Dear Delegates,
My name is Sophia Adele Ermakov, and I’m honored to serve as one of the Co-Directors of the Youth Assembly at BERMUN 2025. I’m currently a junior at the John F. Kennedy School in Berlin, and this is my third year participating in the BERMUN conferences.
For the past two years, I was part of the BERMUN Times, reporting on various aspects of the conference—including the Youth Assembly. It’s incredibly exciting to now return as a Co-Director of the very committee I once wrote about.
This year’s theme—“Fostering integration of migrants: Initiating local projects as a tool to prevent social division”—was chosen because of how many people around the world are currently being displaced due to war, climate change, or other crises. With so much division in today’s society, we believe that young people have the power to create real change by starting projects in their own communities. Whether it's through education, cultural exchange, or support networks, local actions can bring people together and help build a more inclusive future.
Outside of BERMUN, I enjoy practicing my martial arts, playing the piano, doing community service, following Formula One, and spending time with my friends.
I’m looking forward to meeting all of you and seeing the passion and creativity you’ll bring to this year’s Youth Assembly.
Let’s make it a great one! See you in November!
Sophia Adele Ermakov
